Do I Need a Lawyer for an Uncontested Divorce?

QUESTION: Do I Need a Lawyer for an Uncontested Divorce?

I have children and some significant assets, but my spouse and I have agreed to an uncontested divorce. So, I was wondering if an online divorce is a good idea if everything is uncontested or do you get what you pay for as I’ve been told by a few attorneys?

ANSWER: It’s always a good idea to have a lawyer review any paperwork you file. Virginia has its own language and requirements and to be absolutely sure you are protected in every way, it’s best to pay for a consult to have it reviewed.
