ABOUT Nicholas
Prior to law school Nick worked in the financial services industry in New York City after receiving his MBA, when, in a weak moment, he decided to go to law school. Nick has been practicing law for over 30 years primarily in the corporate law arena. He and his family ventured out west, where he became a partner at an international law firm in their Palo Alto and San Francisco offices representing emerging growth companies all the way through their maturity, where they went public or were acquired.
Nicholas is the founder of Spyros Counsel LLC, located at 9117 Church St., Manassas, VA 20110. His practice focuses on Corporate and Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning. In the area of corporate and business law, Nicholas advises clients on company formations, employment and joint venture agreements, debt and equity financing, product and service contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning. His real estate work includes assisting clients with the purchase and sale of property as well as lease agreements. In estate planning, Nicholas helps individuals and families prepare wills, establish trusts, draft advanced medical directives, and create powers of attorney to ensure their affairs are properly managed and their wishes clearly documented.
He also represented venture capital firms during their investments in emerging growth companies. He and his family came back east to northern Virginia in 2005 to be closer to family where he transitioned to representing privately held companies in their corporate and real estate needs as well as succession planning. Through succession planning, he then expanded to estate planning as clients asked him to assist them in their estate planning needs. Nick brings both his legal and financial expertise in assisting clients achieve their success goals so they may fully enjoy their lives.
Nick’s wife and daughter became certified yoga instructors and as a family they opened Transform Power Yoga in Haymarket, VA (yes, Nick has a fool for a client). Nick then became a certified yoga instructor through the first teacher training class offered by TPY. He is also a yoga instructor at TPY.
In addition to yoga, Nick likes going on motorcycle rides with his sons, going to breweries with his family, and attending Nationals games with his family.
