What Is Included in a Divorce Consultation With Fast Virginia Divorce Lawyers?

Whether you’re separated, considering separation, or in the process of getting divorced, knowing your options is crucial to making the best decisions during this challenging time.

Speaking with an experienced divorce attorney allows you to explore all your choices and understand the potential outcome of each one.

Fast Virginia Divorce Lawyers offers divorce consultations for this very reason. We work to understand each individual’s situation and help them understand their options, no matter what point they are at in the process.

So what is included in a consultation with Fast Virginia Divorce Lawyers?

Understanding All Your Options

During your consultation, you will consult with a divorce attorney for up to 30 minutes.

We will ask questions to better understand your situation and where you are in the divorce process. Based on our discussion, we can determine if an uncontested divorce is an option or if you will likely have a contested divorce, in which you and your spouse cannot agree on terms.

We also discuss the process for both contested and uncontested divorce proceedings and the potential costs for each. However, we can’t give a specific quote for our services since each case and the time it takes to accomplish the process will inevitably vary.

Discuss Potential Complications With Your Divorce

We know that divorce isn’t always a straightforward process. Therefore, our consultation will also consist of discussing various complications that may have already happened or may arise during the separation and divorce.

These include disagreement on terms of the divorce, especially terms such as child custody, support, and alimony, as well as if you anticipate your spouse will be uncooperative in signing paperwork or at other points throughout the process.

By anticipating these events, we can explore different options and outline potential outcomes for your divorce moving forward.

Answer Any Questions You May Have

Although we will ask questions, we are here to answer them as well. Your complimentary consultation is an excellent time to ask any questions you may have related to your separation or divorce. We will answer your questions to the best of our ability and explain anything that isn’t clear.

We understand that the legal process surrounding divorce and separation can feel overwhelming and complicated. Rest assured our experienced attorneys are here to walk you through the process, answer your questions, and help you have more clarity on the path ahead.
