ABOUT Bruce Eells
For more than three decades, Bruce Eells has devoted his career exclusively to family law, helping clients navigate some of the most personal and high-stakes transitions of their lives. Raised in Auburn, Massachusetts, Bruce earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Assumption College before completing a Master of Arts in Government at the College of William and Mary. He later received his Juris Doctor from what is now the Antonin Scalia Law School.
Bruce has represented clients in courts throughout Northern Virginia and has successfully argued before the Virginia Court of Appeals. Over the years, he has handled virtually every type of family law matter, from complex equitable distribution disputes to contested custody and support cases. He is comfortable in the courtroom and deliberate in his preparation, but he is equally committed to resolving matters efficiently when negotiation serves the client’s long-term interests.
What distinguishes Bruce is perspective. He understands that family law is not just about statutes and procedure. It is about families, finances, and futures. His approach is steady, strategic, and focused on achieving durable outcomes that allow clients to move forward with confidence.
Before law school, Bruce worked as a radio announcer in Norfolk and performed for two seasons in the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. Outside the office, he collects records and competes on a local pub trivia team, interests that reflect his appreciation for storytelling, history, and sharp thinking under pressure.
